Welcome To A Tapestry Of Music

Glynis and Brian Radford founded Tapestry of Music in 1978, presenting a wide range of early music from the medieval, Tudor and Baroque periods, with frequent excursions into folk repertoire.

Using our collection of over 1,000 fascinating early and ethnic instruments, including harps, lutes, saz, oud, hurdy-gurdy, shawms, bagpipes, nykelharpa, crumhorns among others, our philosophy is to present programmes in an informal manner, bringing the music truly alive. This is enhanced by our fine costumes.

Following in the footsteps of previous generations, we provide music for any occasion or circumstance. While we are more at home in historic buildings, Tapestry Of Music can create a true period ambiance in any setting!

Glynis and Brian are both members of, and lecturers for, the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (www.nadfas.org.uk), and as they present many concert and lecture programmes in France, they are both fluent French speakers.
