The organ is often described as a 'box of whistles' - a slight oversimplification of the instrument. This CD contains some of the instruments which inspired stops on the organ, accompanied by organs from the period. All instruments cover the period from 1600 to 2001.

In medieval times, man was much closer to nature than his modern counterparts and this was reflected in the music. This CD is a journey through the soundscape of the time, starting with a shepherd playing the Torupill (bagpipes) to his sheep.
